Persuasive writing is important in so very many areas of professional writing.
First and foremost, to be able to grasp the attention of the reader and then to be able to divert their attention to a particular subject is key. Once you've gotten their attention, and you are able to get them to understand your point of view on a particular subject, you may be able to persuade them to do what it is you want at that oint.
Persuasive writing is probably the most difficult. Informative writing is fairly easy - someone reviews information and then simply states it in another way. However; persuasive writing requires a certain degree of tact and skill that not everyone possesses.
